 +**Upgrade From Windows 8**
 +
+The purpose of this campaign is to bring to light the flaws associated with the Windows 8 operating system.  The aspect of freedom is discussed in great detail, more specifically, how windows monitors your downloads and sends that information back to the Headquarters.  The motivation of this campaign, I believe, is to convince the public that better operating systems exist for no cost.  The author points out that Microsoft shelled out 1.8 billion dollars in marketing Windows 8, which hides the faulty product that it truly is.  The background of the campaign is rooted in the battle with large software companies that restrict users freedoms and invades their privacy.
 +
 +**Protect Yourself From Surveillance**
 +
+The purpose of this campaign is to prevent users from using remotely hosted data programs.  There is no way to know what is being done with your data once the hosts have it.  Such information is available for snooping from governments and corporations.  The motivation of this campaign is to get users to close their accounts with systems that cannot be trusted.  Additionally, use encryption codes for electronic communication so that the only one that can view the data is the intended recipient.  The background of this campaign comes from the battle with the mass scale surveillance system called PRISM.
 +
 +**Open WIFI and Copyright**
 +
+The purpose of this campaign is to discuss the copyright infringements on open WIFI networks.  If a user downloads a movie, directly violating rights of the copyright holder, he/she is committing direct infringement.  The main issue of this campaign is that some copyright holders are attempting to claim that network operators are liable for the acts of its users.  The motivation behind the campaign is to prevent punishment for open WIFI networks.  For example, the Digital Millennium COPYRIGHT ACT (DMCA), provides safe harbors for network operators by proving that these operators do not operate the communication equipment themselves, and therefore, cannot be held liable of copyright infringement. The background of this campaign stems from the network operators being incriminated for copyright infringements committed on their network by WIFI users.
