 +**Thirty Free Open Software Programs**
 +
+This website offers many different types of options for you to download to your computer to replace software that you may have to pay for or may just be better than what you already have.  One of the first ones that it lists is Abiword.  This program can be used to replace Microsoft word on your computer.  The website says the Abiword runs smoothly, has the ability to save files, and open other files on your computer, making it an almost copy of Microsoft word.  In my opinion though, there are many more trustworthy options to use instead of Abiword.  One that comes to mind right away is Google Docs or Google Drive.  Since these programs are owned by Google, you know they will be reliable and easy to use for most people.  Also, this program is free.  The author of the website doesn’t say whether or not Abiword is up for free download or has updates to help patch issues that the software may have.

 +**Open Source Windows**
 +
+The next website talks about software that you can download that is specific to windows.  One of the ones that caught my attention was Miro Video Converter.  This program converts any video link, like ones from YouTube, into an easy use MP4 file that you can put in your iTunes library.  This would be a useful program for me because I enjoy listening to music.  With over 1,000 songs on my phone, programs make it easy for me to enjoy any song I want, without spending thousands of dollars.  The website also talks about programs that seem redundant to use.  One of which makes it so you don’t always have to click on things.  It claims that it gets rid of any unnecessary ones, but that just seems like it could cause more problems than it would solve.  Clicking a few extra times isn’t something that is difficult.

+**Mohawke’s Best of the Best Free and Open Source Software Collection**
 +
+This website lists hundreds of types of software that are available for download, unlike the other websites that only had 10-20.  I have not heard of most of the software that this website offers for download.  It offers anything from free word processors, to virus protection, to video capturing.  But since I have not heard of the software that the website offers, I would not download it to my computer.  I would think that since it is lesser know, it would be less reliable and more likely to have some type of malware or virus attached to the downloaded file, but that is just because I don’t have a lot of knowledge of this subject.  Im sure that people who are more knowledgeable in this would find these websites much more useful than I would.
